Vincent Valentine X Reader: Chap. 4 Drawings

The girl twirled her pencil biting her lower lip as she looked at her portrait of Cloud. It was missing something, just then Cloud walked in swinging his buster sword around causally. Behind the bar Tifa ducked and yelped "Cloud what did I say about the weapons?"
"Sheathed or kept outside." Cloud mimicked in his best Tifa voice, the result was a book being thrown at his head. He glared balefully in the direction that Tifa had last been in, she had ducked underneath the bar table to avoid any attacks. The girl looked back at her drawing chuckling softly and erased the sheathed buster sword. Putting it in Cloud's left hand instead. Then she flipped to her portrait of Tifa and quietly scrawled Cloud with a heart in the corner. Yuffie's was done so was Reno's, she just needed to finish Vincent's. She started with the cape, sketching the rest of his getup before she came to the face. Always the most difficult part, Reno had a goofy smile plastered on his face, and eyes that held a childlike mischief. Cloud had a stern soldier look, but his eyes held happiness, at least now they did. Tifa's face held a contagious smile her eyes glittered with warmth. Yuffie had a small pleasant half smile, her eyes shone with a playful mischief. But Vincent? Vincent was hard, he hid his emotions well and making him expressionless seemed wrong. She sighed put in the basics of his face and hair, but left out the key facial features used to express emotion. "What's this?" Reno grabbed the sketch book, laughing at your futile attempts to grab it from the taller male.
"Give it back Reno or I will turn into a lion and claw you apart!"
"As if." He snorts.
"She's obviously being serious so give it back already." Yells Cloud from the bar.
"Yeah, why don't you go flirt with Yuffie." Tifa adds. Reno pays no attention to the jab but a light blush colors his cheeks.
"Here you go, why is it so important anyway?"
"It has drawings of all of you in it, I didn't want you to see till I was done but I guess now is as good a time as any." Tifa's is first you make sure to cover up the heart when you show it to everyone, then it's Yuffie, Cloud and Reno. Everyone stares at your work making you feel self-conscious.
"(y/n) this is amazing!" Says Cloud loudly, making heads turn.
"What's amazing?" Asks Vincent walking in.
"N-nothing important" you stammer. everyone aware that you hadn't finished Vincent's portrait yet agreed, not wanting Vincent to think he was being left out. Vincent obviously didn't believe you, but he didn't like people prying into his personal thoughts so he wouldn't do the same.
"You actually came out of that box without anyone dragging you, or because Tifa death threatened you!" Yuffie exclaimed in surprise, changing the topic and catching Vincent off guard. Realizing that Yuffie was right the entire gang turned their heads in Vincent's direction.
"It's not a box." Vincent said stalling,
"It is a box."
"Is not!"
"Is too!"
"Not!"
"Too!"
"Not!"
"Too!"
"Too!"
"Not! Wait what?" Yuffie asked realizing the trick Vincent had just played.
"Ah, so you do agree with me." Said Vincent, if he let go of his bored expression (y/n) could've sworn he would've smirked.
"He got you Yuffie!" Laughed Reno, at the girl's heated glare though he trailed off. Poor Reno, (y/n) thought always the one getting glared at.
"Just answer the question!" The dark haired girl shouted. A few heads turned at her outburst. Vincent knew why he had come, it was because of you. But no way was he saying that out loud. He didn't even know how you would react, and his so called 'friends' would never let him hear the end of it.
"I came because the spiders totally took over the basement."
"Vincent they've done that already." said the (e/c) eyed girl "now stop lying and give us a straight answer."
"I don't think that's the best idea." Vincent turned to leave. When he was out the door Tifa whisper shouted to Cloud and Reno
"Go after him he needs some guys to talk to about guy problems."
"But dudes don't do heart-to-hearts." Whined Reno.
"If you want me to continue serving you at the bar despite the fact that you haven't paid in forever then you'll go after him. Both of you." Tifa looked pointedly in Cloud's direction. The men sighed and each ran out the door in the direction Vincent had gone.
